Great, smooth cup of coffee!

Good quality beans with a powerful kick of caffeine and a robust flavour.The beans were ground in my machine, though if you have a hand grinder that would work well with them too, they produced a fine grind that held together well and when tampered down my machine was able to get a good pressure build up as it forced the liquid through it.This resulted in a good crema and a flavoursome espresso , which was strong, slightly bitter with a tobacco base flavour.This made a punchy espresso, a cappuccino where the coffee wasn’t overpowered by the milk and a fabulous coffee and walnut cake.

Superb quality beans, beautifully roasted. I've made the nicest coffee with these beans, you can really taste the honey and biscuit in the brew.

Is just that, supreme, 1kg on monthly so i'am never without.

Both me and my partner tried these coffee beans as we both like coffee a different way. I prefer coffee with milk and sweetener and my partner prefers espresso or filter coffee is he's working at home.I personally really liked these beans as I don't like my coffee to be too strong and overpowering. The mild bitterness and flavour come through nicely with the milk and the sweetener and created something I have been really enjoying over the last few weeks. I find the flavour is quite bold but it is not overly bitter which I think goes well with the addition of milk. My partner has been enjoying his coffee as well, he said he didn't find these beans to be too bitter but he also felt that the caffeine he got from it wasn't as strong as other coffees he has had. He said that he preferred his filter coffee over his espresso but both were pleasant and tasted nice.Overall, we both enjoy trying different brands and types of coffee and this was overall quite pleasant. Something nice to give a go, especially if you don't like overly bitter coffee.

It’s a great big bag if you order 1kg so make sure you have somewhere to store it so the beans don’t go stale. The beans are dark and I know they are usually coated in oil but these were noticeably oiler than others I have purchased in the last. The taste is ok. I had to set the grinder to a more coarse setting because the water wouldn’t filter through the portafilter very well on fine. I usually make milk based drinks and it was ok for those. Tested alright. It was medium tasting and not too strong. There is no roasting date on these so they could have been in storage for months without knowing. If you have a decent coffee machine then these might get the best from these beans. If you are expecting a superior tasting coffee experience, then you will be disappointed. It’s a bit meh!

As it a medium roast coffee it does not have what the body and strength of dark roasted ones. Although the body feels more towards dark roasted beans. It gives quite a nice acidity while drinking it. And a taste which reminds me of dark chocolate and something else as I can't grasp it what it is. Overall, the taste is not bad and will be enjoyable for an average coffee drinker. As for me, it lacks a bit of strength and character. But as an Americano, it will be perfect.

What I may like, you may not... and vice versa.Use these coffee beans with my Delonghi coffee machine and it’s delicious.I don’t like bitter, sour, weak, or burnt flavours and this coffee is none of those things, while still being a very robust, strong coffee. It’s incredibly smooth, I highly recommend if you like a smooth, but robust coffee.I enjoy coffee from those beans every day and confidently serve to my guests.

Very pleasant coffee and I'm a bit of a coffee sno. I really enjoy this whole bean product which allows you to grind them exactly as you want. Fresher than pre-ground and it’s noticeable.The aroma of these beans is second-to-none, even after storing them for a week; the smell is smooth and delicious, creating a unique experience before I even grind them.I think this is as close to a perfect blend and roast of coffee as I've ever had. but the reason why i don't give 5 star is bc the acid after taste every time.Other than that have the potential to be the best.

My wife and I drink one, at the most two, cups of "real" coffee every day. Beans, ground and percolated and served with a bit of warmed up milk. So we both feel that if we're going to have such a relatively small amount then it should be good stuff and there's no point in saving a few pence by buying inferior product. Unfortunately that's exactly how I'd describe this.As soon as I opened the bag and smelt the contents I could tell that there wasn't going to be a lot of flavour forthcoming, and when I tipped a few out I could see that the beans were dull and dry looking.We've had about half a dozen cups each so far, and I made sure that the percolator was properly cleaned, but we both agree that it's pretty tasteless as coffee goes. Tasteless apart from what I described as a "zingy" aftertaste, and what my wife calls "green notes" or sourness. Neither of us has any idea what the proper terminology is, but we know that we don't like it.The bag came with, as far as I can see (and I've looked hard) no "roasting" or "best before" date. All there is, is a note to the effect that the coffee is packed immediately after roasting, but for all I know that could have been some time last year. I'm not saying it is, but there should be a date somewhere.Disappointing.

As a regular drinker of coffee from ground beans, you can get a little snobby about it all. I like something with a bold flavour that borders on the aggressive. This is not to everyone's taste and is certainly not what Coffee World are trying to achieve with their 'Supremo Blend'. It seems a boastful roastful with a name like that when they describe the strength at being at the mid-range.This is exactly were the coffee sits. Somewhere in the middle. This makes it a good drink for the irregular fresh coffee drinker or one who likes a lighter flavour. I know that my partner prefers this coffee over the bold ones I offer. A large 1KG pack will make lots of coffee and the bigger you go, the better value you will receive. Personally, I would prefer a harsher flavour but as a mid to mild coffee it is very drinkable and won't put off those that don't drink coffee all the time.

I am a big coffee drinker and have it black with no sugar so need a coffee that is smooth and not bitter, it is harder than you'd think to find a coffee that suits. I dislike strong coffee but it needs to have a good flavour.When this massive bag of coffee beans came up to be reviewed i requested them and hoped they would be enjoyable. When the bag arrived i opened immediately and popped a bean into my mouth, it was smooth and chocolatey with no bitterness at all. The beans are smaller than usual, some were half sized beans but they certainly didn't have half the flavour.My first brew was in my stove top coffee maker. My usual sized scoop was used so i had a like for like comparison with my usual ground coffee (i always grind my own beans), the coffee smelt very good as it was brewing and once ready into my mug it went. It was a little stronger than i prefer so i topped up with some almost boiled water. Result = beautifully smooth and quite creamy too. No bitterness and a bit of a chocolatey vanilla taste.Next brew (from the same batch that i ground first). This one i made in a pour over coffee maker so it didn't actually brew because the hot water just drips through the coffee into the jug and then you pour into your cup. I used the same level scoop as previously. This time the coffee wasn't as strong, which is to be expected when it hasn't brewed, it was very enjoyable.The next morning was a beautiful day so i took a cafetiere of the coffee into the garden to enjoy as i caught up with news. Again i used the same level scoop and allowed the coffee to brew for a few minutes. Once again another lovely drink.I don't have a coffee machine so cannot comment on the flavour made this way but as the other ways that i make coffee were a success and delicious i would expect any coffee machine to produce a good brew too. I did notice on the top of my mug of coffee that i made in the cafetiere that there was a very slight oil residue, probably because i was drinking it outside so noticed it more when the sun shone on the mug and showed the residue up. I know an very oily coffee can ruin some coffee machines so thought i;d mention it. It wasn't a great deal though and i hadn't noticed it at all when drinking it indoors.I know some other reviews are less favourable than my experience so it is either personal taste or a bad batch, i can only comment on how i found the taste and smell.I was lucky enough to be given this bag of coffee beans to test and review but i would certainly buy a bag when this one runs out. The price for 1kg is £14 at the time of this review which works out at £3.50 per 250g which is about average for own brand beans from a supermarket, from experience i would say these beans are a bit better quality than any supermarket own brand that i have tried.

This is a large 1kg bag of coffee beans, some of the beans looked drier than the other and to me, it looked as if they were from different roasting batches. I have my grinder set to a coarser grind and this worked well for my machine as well as for my cafeteria.The flavour of the beans is a mid-range one, what I would call a good average flavour. Ideal for social gatherings where a large pot of coffee is sat on the table. If you prefer a more robust caffeine kick then this isn't it, but it does have a pleasant flavour.This brand also supports Shelter Box which I noticed on the back of the pack while I was looking for the roasting date, which I have not found. The beans are packaged after immediately after roasting.A pleasant tasting medium strength and flavoured coffee that I would recommend.
