Your Consumer Rights

Manufacturer warranties and Coffee World warranties are provided in addition to your statutory consumer rights. Nothing in this warranty policy is intended to limit or exclude any rights you may have under applicable UK consumer law.

Your statutory rights may apply where goods are faulty, not as described, not fit for purpose or otherwise fail to meet the requirements of applicable consumer legislation. These rights are separate from any manufacturer's warranty or additional warranty purchased from Coffee World.

Coffee World Extended Warranty

Coffee World warranties are available on selected products and, where offered, may be available as a free or paid add-on at the time of purchase.

The applicable warranty will be the warranty option selected at the point of ordering and shown on the relevant product detail page. Unless specifically stated otherwise, no additional Coffee World warranty will apply.

Coffee World extended warranties are available for specific goods supplied to a UK mainland address. Warranty cover starts from the date of delivery, provided the equipment has been correctly installed, serviced and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications and used correctly in accordance with the manufacturer's manuals and instructions.

Unless otherwise specified, the warranty will be a return-to-base warranty. The customer is responsible for arranging and paying for the return of the equipment to our workshop and for arranging its return to them following repair.

Alternatively, Coffee World may be able to arrange collection and delivery using our trusted couriers. Any collection or delivery arranged at the customer's request may be chargeable. Equipment may also be brought directly to us without using a courier.

Manufacturer Warranties

Manufacturer warranties vary between manufacturers and products. The applicable manufacturer's warranty will be based on the terms provided by the manufacturer and, where available, those stated on the Coffee World product detail page or manufacturer's website.

Manufacturer warranty terms may specify particular requirements relating to installation, servicing, maintenance, usage and warranty claims. Please refer to the applicable manufacturer's warranty terms for full details.

Your statutory consumer rights are not affected by a manufacturer's warranty.

Warranty Claim

If your product develops a fault and you believe it is covered by either a manufacturer warranty or a Coffee World warranty, please provide the following information so that we can assess your claim:

  • Proof of purchase – your Coffee World invoice or order number.
  • Proof of warranty – where applicable, a link to the manufacturer's warranty terms or the Coffee World product detail page showing the applicable warranty.
  • Details of the issue – please explain the problem, when it started and, where possible, the steps required to reproduce the fault. This will help us assess the issue and arrange any appropriate repair or replacement.

Please email warranty@coffeeworld.co.uk with the required information to begin your warranty claim.

Warranty Inspections

If equipment supplied by Coffee World develops a fault or failure during the applicable warranty period, you should notify us as soon as you become aware of the issue and, where applicable, before the warranty period expires.

Where an inspection is required, Coffee World may arrange for an authorised engineer to inspect the equipment. Inspections are normally carried out between 9.00am and 5.00pm, Monday to Friday. Weekend and out-of-hours inspections or repairs may be available subject to availability and additional charges.

Our authorised engineer will assess whether the reported fault or failure falls within the applicable warranty terms.

If the issue is found not to be covered by the applicable warranty, you may be responsible for the engineer's call-out or inspection charge and any subsequent parts, labour or repair costs.

In certain circumstances, Coffee World may require a debit or credit card or other payment in advance of £250 plus VAT before arranging a warranty inspection. Where applicable, this payment will be refunded if the fault is confirmed as covered by the warranty. The payment may be retained where the issue is not covered by the warranty, including where the fault has resulted from incorrect installation, damage, misuse, lack of maintenance, descaling, cleaning or another stated exclusion.

Repairs & Replacements

Where a defect or failure is confirmed as being covered by the applicable warranty, Coffee World will repair the equipment or provide a replacement where appropriate, subject to the terms of the relevant warranty.

All warranty inspections and repairs must be carried out or authorised by Coffee World or an authorised engineer. Work carried out by an unauthorised person may affect warranty cover where permitted by the applicable warranty terms.

What Is Not Covered

Warranty cover does not normally include normal wear and tear or damage or faults resulting from use other than for the purpose intended by the manufacturer.

Depending on the applicable warranty, exclusions may include:

  • Misuse, abuse or negligence.
  • Incorrect installation or operation.
  • Failure to follow the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Failure to properly maintain or service the equipment.
  • Failure to carry out required cleaning or descaling.
  • Alteration, modification or unauthorised repair.
  • Disassembly or tampering with seals or components.
  • Damage caused by smoke, fire or water.
  • Damage caused by limescale or other environmental conditions where excluded by the applicable warranty.
  • Consumable items and normal wear-and-tear components where excluded by the applicable warranty.

The exact exclusions will depend on the applicable manufacturer or Coffee World warranty.

On-Site Warranty

An optional on-site warranty may be available for selected equipment as a free or paid add-on at the time of purchase.

Where available, on-site warranty cover is provided to the original purchaser and is registered to the delivery address stated on the order. It is not transferable.

Where an on-site repair is covered by the applicable warranty, Coffee World will arrange for the equipment to be repaired on-site or in our workshop, depending on the conditions of the warranty selected.

Ex-Demo & Reconditioned Equipment

Reconditioned and ex-demo machines may be sold subject to specific condition and warranty terms. Unless otherwise stated, cosmetic characteristics such as scratches, dents, corrosion or colour variations may not be covered by any applicable warranty.

Please check the individual product detail page for the specific warranty and condition of any reconditioned or ex-demo equipment before purchasing.

Warranty Limitations

Coffee World warranties are limited to the specific terms stated for the applicable product and warranty option. A Coffee World warranty does not extend or increase any manufacturer's warranty unless expressly stated.

Warranty cover does not extend to consequential losses, loss of trade, loss of product or other indirect losses except where such limitation is not permitted by applicable law.

Warranty and maintenance cover does not normally include service visits resulting from abuse, misuse, negligence, inadequate cleaning or other causes excluded by the applicable warranty.

Coffee World will not be responsible for call-out, inspection or repair charges where no fault is found, where the fault is not covered by the applicable warranty, or where work is carried out without the required authorisation.
