I always buy fresh beans from roasters across uk. I happened to buy the 1983 blend and will say that it makes one of the best espresso. Will buy again

I’m thoroughly impressed with the quality of coffee these 1984 Espresso beans produce. The rich caramel notes truly shine through, adding a smooth sweetness to every cup. Even with a slightly bitter extraction, the flavour remains well-balanced and enjoyable, making these beans remarkably forgiving. They perfectly align with my taste preferences, and I can confidently say they are the best I’ve found so far. I’ll definitely be ordering again once my supply runs low.

First time that I’ve tried ‘Coffee World’ and very impressed by this espresso blend.

The crema was fantastic and perfect flavours for my flat-white.

I’m no coffee expert, I’m not someone that drinks black coffee however i do still have some knowledge as I’m an every day coffee drinker but always with milk. This is described as an espresso which I guess it could be but I didn’t find it to be very strong, it was perfect for me with milk. I thought it had a lovely taste, an everyday sort of coffee. Not a bad price either for what you are getting.I really enjoyed this coffee, very smooth!

This espresso blend by Coffee World is really nice - I have tried many of their coffees in their product range, and the espresso blend is one of my favourites. It’s a rich, bold tasting espresso which products a nice thick crema. It has a sweet aftertaste which is similar to burnt caramel. Ideal when drank as espresso shots and in an Americano. I prefer my coffee without milk as I think it ruins the flavour, however this espresso blend isn’t bad when used in milk based drinks. The coffee is excellent value for money in my opinion, the big size bag will last me a while; I recommend storing them in an airtight container to keep them fresh, these beans do keep really well. This coffee is so much nicer than the coffee available in high-street coffee chains!

We are big coffee fans in this house, especially my husband who is a massive snob about coffee beans, he likes to think he’s a connoisseur but it’s debatable! He spends quite a bit on beans from local roasters so was dubious about how much you get the for price, but when he opened the bag he was really impressed with the colour and smell of the beans. He said as they were a light brown colour he thought they had been roasted well and commented how great they smelt, saying they seemed fresh and had a hint of cream and chocolate. He first made us an espresso, which he said was very enjoyable, commenting it was rich but smooth, not harsh in any way and still packed a punch. Next he made a latte which he said tasted amazing - high praise indeed from him!To be honest I’m a bit gobsmacked he liked this so much, I was fully expecting him to turn his nose up at it considering the price but he loved it and now won’t stop talking about what a bargain they are!The quality of the beans coupled with the taste and value for money was a definite winner for us and I don’t doubt we’ll be ordering more. Highly recommend, 5 stars from us!

1984 Espresso Blend

These are asdescribed and just as I had hoped. A nice mellow roast which is easy to drink. Perfect for a mid morning brew. It's not strong enough for me to have as my first espresso upon waking up, but is is described as a 3 in strength. It's mellow and easy to drink. It makes a pleasant latte. As an espresso straight out of the machine it gives quite an exceptional crema. The bag is very long. The amount of coffee doesn't fit in my jar. I had a fair bit left and because the bag is quite long, rolling it down to keep fresh is a good option. So it's a well thought out design.

These coffee world espresso coffee beans are in a large 1kg bag, so will last a long time ( unless you drink gallons of coffee a day obviously).A mix of robusta and arabica beans give the resulting coffee a gorgeous rich espresso, perfect for making an Americano, latte or cappuccino. They are nice and easy to grind and the smell alone gives you a boost.Great quality and make a really good coffee.

The coffee has a good, robust (but not overly bitter) taste and comes in a resealable bag. I tried it both in my DolceGusto espresso machine and in a cafetiere, each with excellent results.

Seriously a lovely tasting coffee. Husband roasts his own green beans but having this come we tried this out and we were really impressed with it. The taste is lovely strong and got some body to it.A big 1kg bag so should last a while and it is all sealed so the beans should stay fresh. The beans are not greasy nor oily or dried out. In fact just perfect for our grinder which didn’t need adjusting for these beans. Heritage blend is not one I’ve heard of but the taste of these beans makes me want to know more about it as just so good.

I love my coffee so I was looking forward to trying these coffee beans out.I used a coffee grinder then my filter coffee machine. The result was a delicious cup of coffee with no aftertaste. I like my coffee of a medium blend and this was ideal for me. Loved it.

Another great Coffee World coffee and another amazing pack of beans.A prefect espresso blend, as promised the dark chocolate really comes through, with a silky finish and a great crema. Try it without milk for a superb espresso (add a little cold water is my tip) and you will be really surprised how nicer it is than a latte.Perfect beans. Coffee World know their stuff.

I'm using these beans for espresso, as well as 'normal' coffee (flat white is the de rigueur name of the moment, I think). I've ground them - as with other beans I've bought recently - with an electric blade or a manual ceramic burr grinder. I've then used them in a Mocha Pot or a French Press/Cafetiére.I'm fairly new to real coffee, only really picking it up over the summer Covid-19 lockdown. Therefore I'm new to the different ways of brewing it. These espresso beans work very well in various methods of brewing, and give a wonderful, strong, all-round flavour. Not something to belt you around the head, but a flavour that gives a satisfying "Aaahh" with every mouthful. To be honest I didn't fully appreciate that this was a 1kg bag, but I will use them all. In the future - if they come in smaller bags (I haven't checked yet) I can see myself using them again and again.A nice aroma from opening the bag, to grinding the beans to steaming coffee in my mug/cup.Recommended.

I'm using these beans for my filtered coffee and I love them. The coffee tastes a lot better than most of the fairly expensive ground coffee I generally purchased.Grinding can be a bit annoying but these beans are definitely worth it. I would recommend them to anyone.

I brew mine in a high temp coffee brewer for a morning cup of coffee. It couldn't be any better for me, smooth, full bodied and delicious. I have decided that I prefer this coffee.

Achieved a neutral taste, neither sour nor bitter, with slightly reduced dose and max extraction.

If you like a good, strong espresso then this isn't for you - but as a mellow, fairly mild coffee bean it's pretty good. And adding in an extra dose makes a perfectly respectable espresso, although personally I think it's better as a latte. I didn't get the caramel or almond notes the blurb refers to but hey ho, I tend to think that's mostly marketing hype anyway, bit like wine. This does have good flavour though, and no hint of bitterness or acidity, thank goodness.Very tall bag of 1kg, so I personally think that's good value for £13 (current price) and the bag rolls down so you can keep it fresh.

I've had a few Coffeeworld different variety coffees. Both beans and powders, with so far mixed results. Non have been particularly outstanding. Some have been OK, others disappointing. This Expresso falls into the OK category. It's not the best expresso I've ever had but not the worst. It has a reasonably robust flavour whilst being not too bitter. I've used it in a cafitiere and in an Italian coffee pot with similar results.Reasonable value for money although to be honest, you will get more bang for your buck if you shop around.

I was in Royston a few weeks ago and had a coffee, in fact 2 because it was so good! S waitress told me what it was and where they buy it so I ordered a packet to try. Although it was ok it wasn't as good as the one in the cafe so maybe we are not doing it the same way as the cafe. Next time we are in Royston we will try to find out!

This is an excellent coffee.I have made this in a Moka pot and in an espresso machine. The resulting coffee after pulling off a couple of trial shots is rich and full favoured with a little acidity but no bitter taste.I continue to be impressed by the quality of the Coffee World coffees available on Amazon.Recommended.

This coffee is nice enough but it has a very strong taste and would be ideal for lattes really. It does taste much better when used with milk as when drinking without it does leave a slight taste that needs to be quenched with water. I almost feel that 1kg bags are a bit overkill for home users and by using smaller bags, the beans would stay fresher, for longer.I do love the story behind the company and their focus on sustainability but compared to other brands such as Amazons own Happy Belly, its a little more expensive and overall I would not rush to buy it again, if given a choice.
