A lighter roast than I thought I would like. However the overall flavouring of the beans is excellent. A nice rounded flavour with a lovely lasting taste.I’ve ground these beans using an electric metal blade grinder and a manual ceramic bur grinder. I’ve used the resulting grind in a French Press/cafetiére and a V60 pour-over. Both give a great flavour. Not strong to blow the top of your head off, but a good enjoyable, satisfying flavour.Good for any time of the day, but I tend to use it for my second cup/mug of the day, or in the afternoon. It mentions Caramel/Chocolate notes, and I can detect both these. Not overwhelming; not a hit. A subtle accompaniment, rather.Very nice if you want a good flavour, but not a strong roast.

I’m new(ish) to trying real coffee, having only really started trying it in earnest over the summer lockdown (2020). I never knew that there were so many different flavour and roasts to be had out there in coffee-land. The Coffee World range is especially good, I would suggest.; and I particularly like their Single Origin varieties. This one mentions blackberry, chocolate and raspberry notes. I can certainly taste the choc notes and there is a definite hint of blackberry in the aftertaste Not sure about the raspberry, but then all of us are different. This one is pre-ground coffee, but I’ve also been trying the beans, and grinding them at home (using both a blade and a burr grinder). I think there is a slight difference in the ‘freshness’ of the taste – the home ground beans being that wee bit ‘fresher’. However, I’m not an expert or a connoisseur at all, and this ground coffee from Honduras is wonderful.I’ve used it in a French Press/Cafetiere and using an Aeropress. both give very good results. The packaging is excellent, too. Ensuring that the coffee remains fresh for a good long time.Recommended.

This is a really fruity coffee, probably the fruitiest I have ever encountered. But with this fruitiness comes a very high level of acidity, which becomes stronger as the coffee cools. I am currently using an AeroPress in which it is recommended to use water at 80°C, so naturally it cools more quickly than using boiling. It’s OK if I drink it as a short, viz. espresso style which you can down in a gulp or two (though you really want a more intense and bitter roast than this for espresso), but as a long drink that acidity really kicks in before I finish it. It’s clearly a high quality coffee, but the style is just not to my taste.
