Yirgacheffe

This light roasted washed coffee is as close to a picturesque perfect African coffee as you can get. Grown in the high altitudes of Yirgacheffe this is often referred to as the birthplace of coffee dating back to the tail end of the 7th century. This aged and seasoned soil has developed and matured over the multiple years of growth which partnered with the higher altitude slows and enhances the natural zest and flora found in all African coffee. The Yirgacheffe delivers a complex and detailed filter that you can deconstruct individual flavours with every sip while also achieving a bright and balanced espresso.

Rwanda Inzovu

Rwanda being so highly elevated is referred to as the land of a thousand hills and hidden away between those hills we have unearthed a gem. Across it’s landlocked and jungled slopes there are over 400,000 farmers tirelessly working and using their expertise to grow some outstanding Arabica coffee beans that the world is blessed to try.The coffee is meticulously graded and hulled before being hand sorted at the Rwandan Trading Company thus ensuring that every bean is perfect, resulting in a clean flavour profile that glides through across your tongue with a sweet fruity aftertaste.Inzovu in the native language means elephant which we here at Coffee World think suits this exotic and defining coffee perfectly, truly representative of the bright coffee Rwanda is famed for.

Kenya Ruiru AA

This exceptional washed Kenyan coffee comes from Ruiru Mills Estate, a 65-hectare farm in Kiambu owned and operated by Sasini — a majority Kenyan-owned company with a strong commitment to equity and community development. Estate workers benefit from access to housing, early childhood education, union representation, and dependable wages that reflect the true value of their work. Through a partnership between Sasini, Olam Specialty Coffee, and over 30 contributors, Ruiru Mills has also supported the nearby Njenga Karume Primary School by funding a new computer lab — helping students build digital skills for future opportunities. In the cup, expect a bright burst of juicy blackcurrant, followed by a smooth butterscotch sweetness and a finishing note of vibrant morello cherry.
