NOVEMBER 2025 Coffee World Change Initiative

November 2025: Sustaining Dreams: Fueling Over 1,400 Meals in Mathare this November

Here at Coffee World, we know that great things are built on strong foundations. For the inspiring young dancers, models, and artists at the Young Teens in Talent (YTIT) hub in Mathare, one of the most essential foundations is a reliable meal. That’s why our Coffee World Change programme is proud to continue its commitment to their holiday meal programme, ensuring that creativity is never stalled by an empty stomach.

As we shared in August, key school holiday months like April, August, and November see the YTIT studio buzzing with activity seven days a week. With school out, the centre becomes a full-time sanctuary of practice, learning, and community for over 100 kids and young adults. Our ongoing support aims to provide the nutritional bedrock that allows this talent to flourish.

This November, the Coffee World Change funding directly translated into over 1,400 meals for the YTIT family.

Throughout the week, this meant providing sustaining meals from a trusted local kiosk, giving the kids the energy they need to focus on rehearsals and workshops. On Saturdays, the support enabled something special: the older members of the hub took charge in the studio’s outdoor kitchen to cook a more generous, hearty meal for everyone. These shared Saturday meals are more than just food; they are a ritual of care, teamwork, and community bonding.

By funding these meals during the crucial holiday stretch, we’re helping to remove a significant worry for founder Moses and his team. It allows them to channel all their incredible energy into what they do best: nurturing confidence, discipline, and dreams in Nairobi’s next generation.

The Coffee World Change programme is dedicated to creating tangible, lasting impact in East Africa by dedicating a percentage of our annual profits to partnerships just like this one. Supporting YTIT’s meal programme is a direct investment in the health, happiness, and potential of some of Mathare’s brightest young stars.

This is what change brews like.
